The Spring Branch ISD administers GED tests regularly. See the GED Testing Schedule to learn how and where to take the exam when you are ready. If you feel you do not need classroom instruction and are ready to take your test now, please see the GED Testing Schedule below. You do not have to take our classes to test with us.

This class covers all 5 areas you will be tested on when you take the GED test.

GED Testing Schedule

The General Educational Development (GED) test will be given once a month on a Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 5:00-10:00 pm, August through June (months with holidays may vary). Testing takes all three evenings. Picture ID and Social Security card are required. The test is administered at Spring Branch Education Center, 9016 Westview in room C-114. The cost is $80.00 cash. Registration and Orientation begin at 4:30 pm on Monday and testing will be held the next two evenings from 5:00-10:00pm. All applicants are required to attend registration and orientation. Applicants must have a government-issued picture ID, social security card and $80.00 cash.

18 and over must have government-issued picture ID for proof of age and social security card.

Anyone under 18 MUST call our office at 713-365-5660 for special instructions.
* 17 year olds must have signed parental permission letter, signed school withdrawal statement, government-issued picture ID, and social security card.
* 16 year olds cannot take the GED test unless they are declared custody of the court by official letter and signed by the custodial officer.

Retesting candidates must present to the testing center the letter showing the official scores, a letter from a certified tutor or have waited six months and proper identification when registering on the Monday of the testing week.
